I doubt females' right for studying is equal to promoting western thinking. I guess Taliban members are not familiar with world's history.
At least, in Japan, education for girls has been seen as normal culture since 'Terakoya' prevailed over Japanese mega cities in Edo era.
As this incident, Taliban is so conservative that the group's activities may cause delay of development of Middle Eastern nations. I wonder what the group wants.
