J-TREC manufactures new 2000 series train.
The 1st 10 cars will be made in the beginning of 2026. By March, 2027, 4 trains will be manufactured.
Car No.5 will have "Big Space". On each car, space for a wheel chair, two air filtering systems, and 4 surveillance cameras will be installed.
Electricity consumption will be 20% less than the current 7000 series by using Silicon carbide on VVVF inverter control system.
