On July 29, JR Central announced that the company would maintain the operation of Tokaido Shinkansen as it is. It is because Tokaido Shinkansen, which plays a major role as a transportation infrastructure, was ruled out from the objects of planned blackout
Trains on conventional lines except Kisei Line will run as usual even when blackout is implemented. Kisei Line has possibility of changing operation plans between Kumano-shi and Shingu ,because blackout makes crossing gates along the line malfunction.
