I also think that it is necessary for each city along the main line to renovate the line in order to make the line serve as a city rail around each and as a interurban line between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
The most surprising news on this article is that the line between Hanoi and Lao Cai/Dong Dang is planned to be electrified ,double track ,and dual gauge. This change may cause explosively increase of China's investment in Vietnam.
