Limited Express train "Ocean Arrow" had been kept in the yard of Shingu for two months, because typhoon No.12 cut off rail tracks of Kisei Line. On November 12th, the train was pulled by the diesel locomotive to transport to Kyoto by way of unelectrified section and Nagoya. Many railfans rushed to the station or along the line to see "The rescue scene" by railway companies as JR.
Typhoon No.12, hit on September, broke and flew out the Nachigawa bridge, which is locating on 10km south of Shingu. It made three limited express trains disconnected with Kyoto or Osaka ,and since then, they were kept in the yard of Shingu; two of them are "Super Kuroshio". the other of them is "Ocean Arrow".
JR West decided to transport them to Kyoto via Nagoya. JR West borrowed the diesel locomotive, because they can't run by themselves on the 190km unelectrified section from Shingu.
4 mins before 20 o'clock on that day, "Ocean Arrow" departed from Shingu via Ise Railway and Nagoya Seaside Rapid Railway Aonami Line. Remaining trains will be sent to Kyoto.
