Why am I afraid of Tung Chung Line Extension?

Hong Kong metro extension approved

One of the benefits of not having populated or developed areas between the main airport and downtown along airport railway is that trains directly connecting airport and downtown won't be affected by commuter trains. Like many airport railways in Japan, there will be chaotic situation, if trains bound for airport have to run under congested diagram filled with commuter trains.
So, I'm afraid that Airport Express in Hong Kong will be affected by addition of the stations on Tung Chung Line. Though I know that the added stations are independent from Airport Express tracks, airport express will be affected until there is a section sharing tracks with Tung Chung Line.
