Many cities around the world are aiming at becoming 'World City' to attract more investment and tourists from overseas. But, when we look at the cities which really become world cities, we can conclude that preparation for becoming the World City is as difficult as or more difficult than promotion to become the World City. It's not only about overtourism, but also about people who want to visit a city to do something weird.
More inbound people with a certain weird intension can result in 'the infamous world city'.
