China’s Xi starts first day at G20 with a whirlwind of meetings with US allies

Though Xi's real intention is unclear, we can expect that he tries to keep distance from Russia. It is probably because Russia seems to be gradually losing territories in Ukraine, when we see the situation from a superficial viewpoint.
But, threat in Taiwan Strait and South China Sea still remains. It can be a volatile factor in the relationship.
