How a kind gesture and a strand of Christmas lights connected a community

It sounds good. All of the ethnicities in the block are connected by Christmas lights. But, instruction by Chinese Communist Party can destroy this connection. It persuades people to turn down Christmas events "to preserve traditional culture from Western culture".
So, in the near future, there can be Chinese immigrants who reject Christmas lights, though I think Christmas ceremony should be common regardless of religions.
