Osaka Metro will install new 400 series trains from spring season in 2023 after installation of 30000A series in August,2022. For Expo 2025, improvement of transportation capacity, comfort, and functionality.

400 series train will be installed as replacement of current 20 series rolling stocks and replacement of 24 series trains which will be used on another line. Total rolling stocks are 23 trainsets consist of 6 cars.
They will be operated from April, 2023. It's the first installation of new trainsets on Osaka Metro Lines since debut of 30000 series on Midousuji Line in 2011. Lower train floor and outstanding priority seats will contribute to barrier-free function as well as installation of surveillance cameras, air-purifiers, and 21.5 inch displays giving information in 4 languages.
Wi-fi service and USB type electric outlet will also be launched.
Front face consists of glass for observation, and aimed at futuristic design imitating spacecraft. Concept of the train is "Riding Attraction".
Door Color varies based on cars , but is mainly green, which is line color of Chuo Line.
Interior color is calm, while wall and floor are bright. Seats are multi-colored based on each function. One car of each trainset has compartment-like seats to entertain passengers and let them feel comfort.
30000A series trainset is to be Installed to improve transportation capacity during EXPO, and envisages to use on Tanimachi Line after EXPO. 10 trainsets consists of 6 cars will be installed. It will run from July, 2022.
It's improved version of 30000 series on Midousuji Line, succeeding barrier-free structure. And, Wi-fi service, air-purifier, and wide displays with information by 4 languages are added.
Exterior design indicates flourishing Osaka and people by sparkling dots. While shadow indicates people, and skylines are shown by gray shadow, while green shows it's Osaka Metro Chuo Line.
Back area on seat is gold yellow, while hip area on seat is blue. Entire interior is designed to be bright and fresh. Sparkling dots are also drawn inside the train.
