It's common trend that mass media (Especially TV stations) wants to exaggerate scare of virus, even though no severity has been observed in more than 10000 patients.
They purpose would be to increase viewers by urging people to stay home.
But, it doesn't refer to comparison between victims by social turmoil by regulation of social behaviors and victims of pandemic itself.
