Afghan President says fleeing the country was "a hard choice"

At least, it must be dangerous for him to stay in Afghanistan. If Taliban soldiers found him, he would be killed. But, when it comes to citizens, they won't be killed unless they show hostile attitude against Taliban. So, I can't understand why many people rushed onto tarmac of Hamid Karzai International Airport to evacuate from the country.
