India's Covid-19 catastrophe could make global shortages even worse

I guess the current surge in India is related with air pollution. Many people in urban cities have lungs damaged by air pollutants. So, it would be acceleration for severity of COVID-19 patients.
And, when we see the death toll per capita, it's less than one fourths of the death toll in the US.
We should not take up the situation in India as an extreme example.
