Why are they interested in chemical reactions without gravity?

Chemical reactions without gravity are interesting in some cases. But, when it comes to reactions between atoms whose electrons are moving radically regardless of gravity, I guess gravity won't affect reaction mechanisms at all.
So, there would be a few chemical reactions which behave differently in space.
