I think it's risky to let many oil tankers pass through strait of Hormuz.
For example, approximately 80% of crude oil consumed in Japan has been imported via strait of Hormuz.
It means price of crude oil must be skyrocketed, if safety of the strait is endangered.
So, each country which depends on oil from the strait should ensure alternative routes.
