On May 28, Osaka city government sent companies and assemblies who hold stocks letters to aim at adopting stock holder's proposal focuses on "independence from nuclear power plants".
Corporate bodies the letters were sent occupy 35% of total stock holders, and are big clients. To inform individual stock holders, about 34% of the total stock holders, of corporating the activation, publicity will be promoted. Finally, the government aims at getting more approval than 2/3 of stock holders in order to submit the plan of changing statutes.
Osaka city government is the top stock holder that has 9% of all the stocks. The letters are formally sent from Toru Hashimoto, the mayor of Osaka city, and include emphasis on necessity of reviewing energy sources and independence from nuclear power plants, due to unclear safety crisis proposed by Japanese government. 10 bills were also enclosed.
