Osaka Municipal Subway decided to put off the departure time of the last train by 15〜25 mins by March, 2013.
The subway company will deal with the problem by utilizing trains which are now not in service and are to run into depots. It was proposed by Subway Improvement Project Team of the head office of integrating Osaka City Government and Osaka Prefecture Government on May 8. It has been pointed out that departure time of the last trains of Osaka Municipal Subway are earlier than that of private railways or subways in Greater Tokyo by 30〜40 mins. According to their plan, departure time of the last train will be put off.
At Umeda, the last train for Shin-Osaka will be changed from 23:54 to 24:20. which is near JR train for Nishi-Akashi departs from Osaka at 24:28, or Hankyu train for Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi departs from Umeda at 24:25.
The subway is going to decide departure time of the last trains, considering transfering trains. It will take hundreds million JPY for labor cost to put off departure time of the last trains. privatization plan of Osaka Municipal Subway by 2015 was also proposed in the meeting.
The organizer said "Though it is difficult for us to carry it out, it is not impossible. I will do it."

Accessible train for the last train of JR and that of Hankyu has already been operated from Nakamozu to Umeda. Why is the last train for Shin-Osaka needed?
No shinkansen runs in such a time.
