On Feb 16, Steam Locomotive ran on Aonami Line in Nagoya city. It is rare for steam locomotives to run in Megalopolis, and the train ran in Nagoya city after the interval of 27 years.
The section in operation is about 5km. At 9:50, 160th C56 series steam locomotive pulling 3 coaches began to run slowly with steam whistle and white smoke between skyscrapers.
More than hundred times of the fixed number applied for riding the train, and 200 out of them enjoyed 25 mins' single trip. Yuji Takemae, who is from Kasugai, Aichi, took the train with 4 family members, said excitedly "Feeling smell, sound, and whole atmosphere, I realized the steam locomotive was running", and waved to spectators along the Line.
The train was scheduled to run 3 times by Feb 17.
Because Takashi Kawamura aims at making Nagoya steam 'locomotive spot', city government assesses results of this test run.

Because a lot of train geeks are expected to rush to the train, the biggest problem must be safety problem.
