I hear that Fukui Railway Co.,Ltd. will revise timetable on Mar 25,2010.
I'll show you the main changes below・・・
・Increasing the number of trains
An express train bound for Fukui city will be added in rush hour on the morning

・The change of train routes in the daytime
Before：Two Lines; Takefu-shin←→Fukui-Ekimae、Fukui-Ekimae←→Tawaramachi
After：Organized one Line; Takefu-shin←（Via Fukui-Ekimae）→Tawaramachi
Therefore, trains come 3 times per hour between Shiyakushomae and Tawaramachi. It will be "Increasing the number of trains" compared to previous timetable(trains come 2 times per hour in the same section)。In the daytime, trains will run 3 times per hour between Fukui-Ekimae and Shiyakushomae.It can be said "The decrease of trains compared to the present state that trains run 5 times per hour in the same section.").
・Express trains are scheduled to stop at Bell-mae
・Last trains are scheduled to leave 40 minutes later than present last train.
Last trains are scheduled to leave for the direction of Echizen city 40 minutes later than present last train.
・Change the names of the five stations
Takefu-shin→Echizen-Takefu
Nishi-Sabae→Hokufu
Kami-Sabae→Sundome-Nishi(West of sundome)
Fukui-shin→Sekijyujimae(Front of Red Cross)
Saibanshomae(Front of the court)→Jinaijyoshikoukou(Jinai ladies school)
・New station
Sports park station is scheduled to open between Nishi-Takefu and Iehisa.

I appreciate the change of timetable
Especially, I think that increasing of trains between Shiyakushomae and Tawaramachi is epoch-making.
Then, the increace of the express trains effected the timetable of Nishi-Takefu station. At Nihi-Takefu station,the local trains depart 3 times and the express trains depart 4 times from 7:00am to 8:00am in for Fukui city.（now:the local trains depart 3 times and the express trains depart 3 times for Fukui city）。
On the other hand, See the timetable of Takefu station on the JR Hokuriku Main Line parallels to the Fukui Railway, local trains leave 4 times and limited express trains leave a time from 7:00am to 8:00am.So,Fukui Railway will be much superior to JR on the point of frequency.
I think that the circumstance that the express trains newly stop at Bell-mae means that Shopping City Bell thrives.。As the case of other provinces, Suburban shopping malls have grown remarkably. It'll cause the decline of downtown in Fukui city.
But it would be better that public transportation such as Fukui Railway runs in front of the shopping mall.
Most of the provinces have big shopping malls along expressways where public transportations are little available bothers the lives of children and old people ,who cannnot drive.
