Metro Trains Melbourne was extended to East Pakenham from Pakenham today

The section between East Pakenham and Pakenham was electrified until 2001. But, the section was de-electrified, due to abolishment of electric train services between Pakenham and Warragul.
With this opening, improvement is not limited to extension of frequent electric train service, but includes removal of the level crossings.
