Tehran Metro Line 1 extended from Imam Khomini International Airport to Shahr-e Parand

This metro line is mysterious in terms of the distance between neighboring stations.
The newly opened section is 16km long without any intermediate station. The opposite side of the neighboring station of Imam Khomini International Airport station is Shahr-e aftab. The distance between these two is also 22km long. Is it appropriate for metro system?
