It's important to commonize ticket sales platform. But, Amtrak should focus more on how to let passengers board train and depart just after arriving at a station. To compete with airplane and vehicle, time reduction of boarding is also important. For
example, installation of barcode scanner gates at station entrance is a solution. If each passenger prints ticket out, boarding procedure is just scanning barcode, which enables passengers to board trains within a couple of minutes after arriving at station.
