Regular overnight trains in Japan have been abolished except for Sunrise Express running between Tokyo and Takamatsu or Izumo-shi. On the other hand, extremely luxurious overnight trains have been popular among JR Kysyu, JR West, and JR East. But, they are not regular trains and ordinary people cannot afford to board the train.
I wonder if the new orient express will trace the same characteristics with overnight trains in Japan. I wish it would be affordable and operated regularly.
