It's rare for railways in US to prepare for earthquake. But, in order to install high speed rails, such systems will be necessary. That's because trains running at higher speed may cause more fatal accidents in the case of derailment. So, it would be better for US to pilot the systems on suburban railways in the vicinity of Los Angeles.
