I left the hotel for Kansai International Airport by Nankai Train.
When I was queueing up for check-in counter, a man spoke to me and talked about traveling.
He will stay in Viet Nam for 2 weeks and then, fly to Sri Lanka. After staying there for 2 weeks, he will fly to Singapore.
I would like to experience journey like his. The day will come when I can do the same thing?
I proceeded to baggage inspection and immigration.
After immigration, I could see extremely silent duty free shops

While walking around nearby boarding gates, I found the letters "Taipei" and "Hong Kong", both of which are the cities I cannot visit, due to long isolation policy to prevent Covid-19.
I flied to Ha Noi.
I bought inflight meal.
I arrived at Hanoi. There was no procedure related with Covid-19.
I passed through immigration check, baggage claim, and custom like the way before Covid pandemic.

I used bus from the airport to city center.

I got off the bus near Hanoi Opera House.
My first destination was a clinic to take a PCR Test.

The next destination is Hoa Lo Prison. It was built when France colonized Vietnam. Initially, those who planned independence from France were detained.

There was a prisoner who escaped from here through the sewage ditch displayed at the center of this picture.
Why is it possible to pass through such a narrow space
From the prison, I walked to a hotel to leave my baggage.

From the hotel, I walked to Cat Linh Station via Hanoi B Station.
While most of the trains depart from Hanoi Station, some depart from Hanoi B Station.

I walked in front of the temple of literature. But, I didn't go into the temple.

I boarded Hanoi Metro Train to Vanh dai 3 Station.
But, I dropped in at Lang Station to take pictures of trains.

The reason why I got off at the station was to visit Vincom Mega Mall Royal City. But, I found that Thượng Đình is the nearest station to the shopping mall.

In the mall, I was looking for Vietnamese Restaurant. But, most of the restaurants in the mall are Korean, Japanese or Chinese restaurant.
Because no Vietnamese restaurant was found, I had dinner at Thai food restaurant.
