I am interested in the quote "He likes to tell them the story of a mysterious tunnel that runs underneath the hospital, connecting a room used for dissecting human bodies to the railway. Researchers are still unsure what it was used for."
I guess the tunnel was used for transporting human bodies which have secret reasons for death. In order to conceal them, they would have been transported somewhere behind residents' eyes.
So, it would be important to know what kind of dissection was taken place at the hospital.
