I think that uniquely designed metro stations can be seen in former Soviet Union. Each platform has gorgeous pendants.

The difficulty of taking photoes at subway stations is to wait for the moment no one is on a picture. Due to its high construction cost, subways run along highly populated areas and are used by large amounts of passengers.
So, we have to take it for granted that it's rare to see no one in subway stations.
