United States are the kingdom of freight rail, while Japan is the kingdom of passenger rail. Its feature does not reflect only on the number of freight trains or passenger trains, but also on the number of freight railway companies or passenger railway companies.
But, when restructuring process undergoes, the number of both companies would be reduced.
This acquisition by Patriot Rail would also be an example.
