IT companies like Google would be easier to promote working remotely. But, there are many companies which have many difficulties to do the same thing.
The first reason is that there are many people producing something requiring many tools and huge production site. For example, vehicles cannot be manufactured at home.
The second reason is that there are many companies which cannot afford to buy note PC for working remotely. For example, engineers dealing with tons of datum cannot operate them remotely with ordinary Internet systems.
The third reason is that there are many people who can be interrupted by their children while working remotely.
The 4th one is that talking through the internet with someone who are not intimate can cause misunderstanding and unexpected conflicts.
So, I don't agree with imposing working remotely unilateraly.
