In some countries, it's troublesome to broadcast a movie in which a politician appears. That's because broadcasting his/her figure can be recognized as advertising for election.
In some cases, if it's broadcasted during election term, some of these countries punish the candidate for advertising illegally by movie.
So, the decision of the Canadian TV station to edit out Trump would be desirable.
