Since High speed rail was built from Kenitra to Tanger, the coastal city facing Mediterranean Sea, the next big step would be to build Strait of Gibraltar crossing.
After completion of this tunnel, Paris and Rabat will be connected within 8 hours. At least, it will be possible to go on a day trip to Rabat from Madrid by train.
I'm looking forward to seeing high speed trains going back and forth between European continent and African continent.
