Since its begining, EXPO has been the place to boast technological development of the host countries.
But, long time ago, there used to be abuse of human rights in EXPO. For example, in 1878 and 1889, Paris EXPO displayed "A Negro Village" as a major attraction.
After criticism, such an attraction never showed up in EXPO. Though the concept of "Human zoo" remains elsewhere, current EXPO has now nothing to do with it.
