PlayRenfe wi-fi offers live TV on the move

The first train that began live TV service is not Renfe but Keihan Electric Railway.
Keihan Electric railway began the service in the limited express trains in 1954.
Considering that Japan Airline began WiFi service in flight, high speed trains will have to set on-train WiFi platform to compete with paralelling airlines.

As well as on-train service, I expect Renfe to extend its network to Morocco over Mediterranean Sea.
