Why on Osaka Loop Line?

While automatically driven cars are going viral, railway companies will also have to realize automatically operated trains to lower labor cost. A few months ago, Yamanote Line in Tokyo carried out test run of automatic train. The railway line is suitable for this trial, because of the simple diagram.
On the other hand, Osaka Loop Line has many types of the trains like running through Wakayama, Nara, Kansai International Airport, or Sakurajima. So, it wouldn't be suitable for basic trial of the automatic trains.

By the way, average headway of the line is not 7 mins but 5 mins.
