Extended from Yau Ma Tei to Whampoa, which is famous for Hutchison Whampoa, one of the largetst company listed in Hong Kong Stock Exchange(HKSE). The intermediate station is Ho Man Tin. Ho Man Tin will also be an interchange station for East West Corridor(Sha Tin - Central link) in 2019.
I wonder why Hong Kong MTR didn't construct Kwun Tong Line extension via Hung Hom, the terminus of East Rail Line and West Rail Line. But, considering convenience for Ma On Shan Line passengers, Ho Man Tin would be better to change trains to Kwun Tong Line.
