I didn't know high speed rail plan is still undergoing in California, much less extension plan to Sacramento and to San Diego.
According to the article, it takes 3 hours from Los Angeles to San Francisco by the high speed train. But, in order to compete with airplane, more rapid train without stopping at intermediate stations must run between these two cities.
