The countries along 'Ring of fire' have to be worried about earthquake. But, I guess the frequency of earthquake along west coast of the United States is lower than that in Japan.
I remember that I felt earthquake ,when I was taking an exam in a tall building in Tokyo.
But, no one at the place was surprised at the quake. It can be the evidence that the Japanese are accustomed to experiencing earthquake.
