Mass media criticizes men who are reluctant to marry

Because St. Valentine's day approaches, mass media would advertise chocolate for the day*1. But, this year, this is not the case. With the spread of the new custom of giving chocolate mutually among females, mass media takes it up as materials of criticizing unmarried youngsters.
As is often the case with middle-aged men or women, they say "Current youngsters are rude or idle!"
Especially, young men are likely to be criticized by mass media.
The first reason is that Japanese companies are irritated with less expenses of young men. They want young men to spend more money.
The second reason is that there isn't any representative of young men. For example, after attacking North Korean(or Korean) things on mass media, Chongryon*2 protests against the media. So does women associations when mass media broadcasts a discriminatory remark against females.
But, young men won't give pressure to mass media if they are criticized or discriminated by mass media.

So, even if we grow up to be 40s, mass media would attack young men around 20s continuously.

*1:Since more than 40 years ago, St. Valentine's day has been treated as the day on which females are supposed to give chocolate to their sweethearts.
