I hear that transferring is needed because of the difference of rolling stock sets between the section to the east of Guanglan Road and the section to the west of it.(4 cars run the former section.8 cars run the latter.So,Each train cannot go through to each other section.)
Probably,it is considered to be able to change trains on the same platform.But,even if so,Shanghai metro won't be superior to Shanghai Maglev on the point of utility.
My planning is that 4 cars run between Pudong International Airport and Guanglan Road, and by adding 4 cars to them at Guanglan Road, 8 cars(4+4) run the west section.I think that it'll be possible because of the absence of platform screen doors.
Then
I don't understand the real intention of Shanghai metro,who moved the Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park station to underground , while it constructed the station in the form of viaduct when Line 2,Shanghai metro extended in 2000.
Due to it,the trains between Longyang Road - Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park have not run for ten days until today.
