Why are they obsessed with buying domestic products

Coronavirus: China, US consumers turn on each other’s goods as pandemic drives commercial nationalism
https://www.scmp.com/economy/china-economy/article/3085103/coronavirus-china-us-consumers-tun-each-others-goods-pandemic

After pandemic, anti-globalization seems to be popular around the world. That's because each country has bad relationship with some nations amid trying to impose responsibility of causing pandemic. Especially, conflict between US and China would be the harshest one. I wish they could be calmed down to solve the issue peacefully.

Why do they rely on tourism?

Deserted Venice contemplates a future without tourist hordes after Covid-19

It shows how risky it is to depend heavily on one industry. Though it's not as serious as Venice, Namba in Osaka is also suffering from lack of Chinese tourists. Especially, drug stores for them are forced to close.
Though tourism can be an opportunity to develop cities, it would be important for them to diversify industries in the long run.

Why do they have to carry out this experiment?

It's evident that mask can reduce transmission of virus.
If you drop a few milliliters of water on a mask, most of water stays on the mask without penetrating.
When we consider that saliva flying from mouth is similar to this water, it's understandable that wearing mask is effective for preventing virus infection.

Why does Hong Kong still keep entry ban?

Hong Kong tourist figures collapse, with arrivals down almost 100 per cent in April
https://www.scmp.com/news/hong-kong/hong-kong-economy/article/3084570/hong-kong-tourist-figures-collapse-arrivals-down

I take it for granted that travelers from outside of Hong Kong decrease by almost 100%, because the autonomous city basically banned entry of foreign tourists.
But, judging from the current situation about virus in Taiwan and China, Hong Kong government should turn down that ban on Chinese and Taiwanese.

Why don't you see another example of national anthem issue?

Hong Kong is pushing a controversial national anthem bill just as protests are kicking off again

Japan has also experienced disputes over national anthem. Some people insist they don't want to sing national anthem, because it sounds like citizens obiliged to fall a sacrifice to the emperor.
But, after official regulation of national flag and national anthem, this protest is not widely broadcasted.

Why can they move production lines?

Leave China? No thanks, some Japanese firms say to Tokyo’s cash incentives
https://www.scmp.com/week-asia/economics/article/3083988/leave-china-no-thanks-some-japanese-firms-say-tokyos-cash

Cash incentive won't be enough to motivate some Japanese firms to leave China for Japan or other countries. Moving must cost higher than relocating production lines. Japan's government should think about how difficult it is to relocate them to other countries.
