President 'Yasuo Shimada' in Hankyu Hanshin Holdings replied "It's difficult to phase in actual procedure of building Shin-Osaka Naniwa-suji Link line under the current situation that the detail on extension of Hokuriku Shinkansen to Shin-osaka is not foreseeable." on Nikkei's interview.
The interview by Nikkei is about re-development around Umeda station. At the last part of the interview, Nikkei mentioned "Hankyu Electric Railway seems to have a plan to build Umeda - Shin-osaka section."
Hankyu replied "JR West and Nankai Electric Railway opens Naniwasuji Line in 2031. Along with it, Hankyu plans to build a new line connecting Naniwasuji Line and Juso or Shin-osaka. But, It's difficult to phase in actual procedure of building Shin-Osaka Naniwa-suji through line under the current situation that the detail on extension of Hokuriku Shinkansen to Shin-osaka is not foreseeable. We do not have to be upset in order to maximize cost effectiveness" to it.
Shin-Osaka Link Line is a new line connecting Juso and Shin-Osaka. Naniwasuji Link Line is a new line connecting Juso and Umeda.
Until now, Hankyu has clarified the plan to open both of them along with opening Naniwasuji Line.
This interview in fact shows stepping back from that policy.
The plan to extend Hokuriku Shinkansen via Obama, Fukui was determined by Japan's government in 2016.
But, after reshuffling of the House in 2025, extension of Hokuriku Shinkansen along Maibara Route without extending to Shin-Osaka has also been added to consideration.

Naniwasuji Link Line has nothing to do with Shin-Osaka station where Hokuriku Shinkansen is expected to reach.
I guess Hankyu is reluctant to build and used Hokuriku Shinkansen as excuse.
