Kita-Osaka Kyuko Electric Railway extended to Minoh-Kayano today

Extension of Kita Osaka Kyuko Line to Minoh-Kayano, which used to be rumored to be fantasy, is now realized. The terminus of Midousuji Line Train changes dramatically like below article

On March 20, 2024, Minoh City and Kita Osaka Kyuko Electric Railway held a ceremony of the extension.
500 people, including the vice president of land and transportation ministry and the governor of Osaka Pref, joined the ceremony.
The extension plan was invented approximately 50 years ago. However, it was 2014 that Osaka Pref, Minoh City, Kita Osaka Kyuko Electric Railway, and Hankyu Electric Railway made agreement.
Construction started in 2016, and was completed in November, 2023.
Inspection by the ministry and Osaka Pref passed on the of February, 2024. Finally, extended section opened today.
Around Minoh-Kayano Station, station buildings and stores under the track viaduct opens in addition to the existing shopping mall and theater.
Bus stops and taxi stations were built around the east side of Minoh-Kayano Station.

Bus routes were also restructured.
Notification about route changes and abolished routes are posted around Minoh-Kayano Station, Minoh-semba handai-mae Station, and Senri Chuo Station.

New apartments are under construction and land for building hospitals is prepared around Minoh-semba handai-mae Station


Daily ridership is estimated to be 45000.
Initial economic imact is estimated to be 322.7 billion JPY(21.51 billion USD), and yearly one is 61.4 billion JPY(4.09 billion USD).
Population around the extended section is estimated to increase by 4500.
