Thai・AirAsia will inaugurate flights between Naha/Okinawa and Bangkok/Dong Mueang from April 2. There will be 4 flights per week.

Okinawa now has direct flights to Seoul, Busan, Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Taipei, Kaohsiung, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, and Singapore.
I guess there will be a direct flight to Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh someday, considering the population of both of the cities and economic growth.
