The only skyscraper in Paris is about to turn 50, and many Parisians still hate it

If more skyscrapers were built around it, I guess it is not disliked by Parisians now. But, the only skyscraper has made itself a strange one. I think it's often the case with a town or a city around the world that the only tallest building is disliked or criticized as a failure of development. In Japan, Skytower 41 located in Kaminoyama, Yamagata is a similar example. It was built in rice paddy, and is still surrounded by rice paddy.
