Buried treasure, including nearly 200 Roman coins, found in Italy

I wonder why Roman coins were not buried in deep under the ground. Judging from the years passed since Roman Empire existed, those coins must be buried deep under the ground. I guess someone dug out the coins or brought coins from somewhere and left there.
