How London almost got its own Eiffel Tower

It's interesting that the planned tower was aimed at increasing passengers boarding Metropolitan Railway. If the tower was built and remained until today, it must have changed the history of UK. The Shard might not be built. And, Wembley Stadium wouldn't be built.
