I wonder why kits for swimming do not satisfy safety standard. In most of the decent companies, they make sure that their products are durable enough to satisfy criteria and do not contain hazardous substances. Otherwise, they try to apply another standard which is easier than European one?
They tried to sell these products without inspection?
If it's the latter case, they should recall these products.
