Though platform screen doors are gradually installed in East Asian countries, there seem to be no movement like that in Europe including UK. I wonder why railway operators in Europe are not willing to install them in each station, even though their effect is certificated by reduced accidents about collision between trains and passengers.
There will be people who would say "risk of stepping into tracks is created by each passenger him/herself."
But, like this accident, passengers can drop on tracks by unexpected passengers' sudden behavior.
