Why do we have to care about showing ruins to public?

Since it's located in low humidity area, we won't be afraid of florishing mold on paintings on the tomb.
But in Takamatsuzuka Tomb, Nara, Japan, where many kinds of ancient ruins are placed, after painting was discovered, staffs there are suffering from invasion of mold onto the painting.
So, when ancient ruins are exposed to different environment, we have to pay attention to what happens.
