I think that the reason why major manufactures in Japan revealed falsification of production data is that less and less people want to be devoted to their companies by concealing big issues.
Japan's conventional way of job hunting was strange. Once a company hire a man who just graduated from a university, and then never fire the employee.
On the other hand, the employee was forced to work overtime without appropriate wage ,and was mentally attacked by his/her bosses to contribute to their company.
This way grow the culture of concealing illegal activities in the company.
But now, such a way of recruitment is collapsing, and then concealed secrets are exposed to public by those who are not stick to one company.
